Homolje caves and waters

Departure from Belgrade.

Journey to Despotovac.

Visit of the Miniatures Park - Park of models with the setting - medieval Serbian monasteries, made in the ratio of 1:17 relative to objects in their actual size. Models are made as a perfect copy of the churches in reality.

Visit of the monastery Manasija - Manasija Monastery (Resava) is one of the most significant monuments of medieval Serbian culture. The monastery was built by Despot Stefan Lazarević, whose relics, according to some experts, are located in the southern part of the church. The monastery was the cultural center of the Despotate. Its "Resavska School" was a copying workshop and was a source of written works and translations even after the fall of the Despotate, throughout the entire 15th and 16th century.

Visit of Resava cave which is one of the oldest surveyed caves in the country, about 80 million years old, while the age of cave adornments is estimated to be 45 million years old. The temperature is constant at 7° C (therefore a jacket is needed inside the cave), while the humidity varies from 80-100%. The interior of the cave has numerous and varied venues, canals, galleries, columns, stalactites, stalagmites, draperies and petrified waterfalls.

Lunch at the restaurant “Vodopad“ in Lisine.

Visit to the waterfall Veliki buk - Lisina, which is a ten-minute drive from Resavska cave. It is over 20 meters high and considered one of the highest waterfalls in Serbia. It is protected as a natural monument.
