Subotica and Palic Lake

Journey to Subotica - Subotica city centre is like an open air museum of predominantly Art Nouveau but also of Baroque and Classical architecture: in churches (the Cathedral, Serbian Orthodox Church, Franciscan church and others), Theatre and Library buildings, blue and green fountains and numerous tenanment buildings. The Town Hall, the Synagogue, the Raichle Palace and dozens of other attractive buildings listed Subotica among the most interesting Art Nouveau towns in Europe.

Walk around Palić, the lake and the settlement of the same name is 8 kilometers north of Subotica. Beautiful buildings from the start of the 20th century, lavish parks, the lake, an uncommon tranquility and peace make Palić an ideal resting place. Famous Palić ZOO is recognized not only by its rich collection of plants and animals, but also by the human approach to accommodating animals. Beaches, a thermal pool, a cycle route, promenades, facilities for culture, entertainment and sports, and a variety of excellent events complement the offer of Palić, the well-known tourist centre.

Lunch at complex “Majkin Salaš” (Mothers farm) - Ethnic Park "Majkin Farm"extends to the estate of 30 ha. It is 2500 meters from the shores of Lake Palic. Ethno park consists of two farms - Mothers and Flowery, ponds, small horse farm, farm yard and vast orchards.
