Skadarlija – Bohemian quarter

Every ancient city in the world has a place that was created by ordinary people, built by ordinary craftsmen, and a legend of it lives on, although there nor the king or tsars used to gather. But poets and all those to whom the deviance of the world was the inspiration to create beautiful works of literature, and a night of revelry a valve to the burdened souls, did. Serbian poets and writers have left a deep mark in their tavern "offices."

That is how the bohemian legend of Skadarlija or Skadarska Street in Belgrade appeared, the legend which still preserves the architecture of the 19th century and the city's oldest pubs and restaurants. Evening walk through the center of Belgrade, from the Belgrade Fortress, through Knez Mihailova Street, across the Republic Square to the streets of Skadarlija. Walk through Skadarlija which is still paved with cobblestones.
Visit to one of the restaurants for dinner and a night full of music and emotion.
